Hiding Vista volumes from XP (volsnap.sys issue revisited)
When Setup creates Boot.ini, it puts the same generic label (Microsoft Windows XP) between those quotes every time. So we might get a menu that offers Windows or Windows or Windows, and it's up to us to edit the labels so that we can tell which is which. Vista does not use Boot.ini, except when dual-booting into a

ActiveSync ruined my dual-boot - how to restore Vista boot order?
Also, it is not confined to Vista x64 since I can get the same thing with XP Pro x64. I think it is the load on the memory controller that is really behind it and why I had 4 GB (Dual Channel 4x1) of ram the machine would run but not very fast. If I ran MCE to watch live TV all I would get is a green screen.
